Bridging Data Analytics and Software Engineering

Driven by a lifelong fascination with problem-solving and technology, I have carved a distinctive path through the tech landscape, blending rigorous academic training with hands-on professional experience. Beginning with a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Maryland, where I also deepened my passion for music as a jazz guitarist, I transitioned into technology during a time of personal and economic uncertainty.

My technical journey accelerated at Red Rocks Community College, where under the mentorship of Dr. Julie Schneider and inspired by my father’s academic background, I excelled in Software Development and Programming, earning top accolades for my coding prowess. This foundation led me to specialized roles in data conversion and ETL development, where I took pride in my ability to streamline complex data systems and enhance operational efficiencies.

Achieving a Master’s degree in Data Analytics from CSU-Global with a 4.0 GPA, I specialized in AI and ML, diving into advanced programming and data analysis in R, Python, and SAS. My professional roles have showcased versatile accomplishments:

• At Echo Global Logistics, I led the automation of CI/CD pipelines and the deployment of AWS optimized infrastructures, significantly reducing model training times and playing a pivotal role in winning the 2022 Excellence in Analytics Award.
• As a Data Analyst at Community College of Aurora, I conducted cohort analyses and created Tableau dashboards that enhanced retention and enrollment strategies, boosting key performance metrics.
• At MeritDirect, my development of C# applications for bulk data processing and maintenance of ETL packages supported the management of data warehouses with over 7 billion records.
• In my role at Journal Technologies, I managed critical data migrations for municipal courts, significantly improving system transitions and operational efficiencies.

Beyond the technical, my early adventures in the rudimentary realms of the internet, from hacking tutorials to creative problem-solving in electronics and video gaming, have ingrained a deep-seated skill for intuitive and user-centric design. Today, I continue to integrate this passion with my work, aiming to make each project not only functionally excellent but also a pleasure to interact with.
